Clark-LaSalle/Division Station Red Line Rehabilitation

On behalf of the Chicago Department of Transportation, STV provided construction management services for the $43 million rehabilitation of the Clark/Division Station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Red Line. This four-phase project entailed construction of a new 8,800-square-foot station mezzanine area at the intersection of LaSalle and Division streets, rehabilitation of the existing Clark station mezzanine, and rehabilitation of the 440-foot subway platform. The end result helps to reduce passenger congestion while creating an ADA-compliant station.

Additionally, STV oversaw the relocation of major utilities; construction of deep retention systems; upgrades to elevators and escalators; and upgraded lighting, security and communication systems throughout the project. The firm staged the work to prevent interruptions while maintaining rail commuter services and city traffic.
