STV provided construction management services for renovations to Simon Gratz High School, a five-story 343,000-sf building built in 1927 and expanded in 1967. The firm oversaw the renovation of four music practice rooms, a music room previously damaged by fire, two major science labs and music classrooms, the library and two new computer labs. In addition, STV provided construction management for the modernization of 12 teaching spaces; repairs to the roof and courtyard brick masonry; repairs to the auditorium ceiling and seating; and reglazing and recaulking of walkway windows. Capital improvements also included new windows throughout the building and a new gymnasium floor. The project was part of a larger five-year Capital Improvement Program for the School District of Philadelphia.
