The New Jersey School District Authority selected STV to provide construction management services for the Sheila Y. Oliver Academy School in East Orange, NJ. The three-story facility, formerly known as George Washington Carver Elementary, comprises 77,000 square feet and includes a multipurpose room/gymnasium, cafeteria and classroom spaces. The completed school can hold 490 students ranging from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade. 

Located near two heavily trafficked roads in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood, the project was built on a parcel with tight site constraints and limited staging area. The construction team needed to coordinate extensively with the local authorities and Essex county.
