New Haven Rail Yard Complex

For more than two decades, STV has provided engineering design, environmental and construction phase services on behalf of the Connecticut Department of Transportation for upgrades exceeding $200 million at the New Haven Rail Yard in New Haven, CT. These improvements support the maintenance and operating requirements for the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line, as well as diesel-hauled trains operated by the Connecticut Commuter Rail service.

At the 70-acre site, STV has designed improvements for two new passenger rail car storage yards, as well as a new yard traction power catenary, a transportation building, a running repair shop, a stormwater pump station, a fueling facility, a yard master office, and a control center for the New Haven interlocking and yard.
