STV Hires Senior Vice President, Business Development Director for Federal Market Sector

Richard Kaufman has joined STV as a senior vice president and business development director for the federal market sector. Based in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, Kaufman will oversee business development activities relating to all federal clients throughout the firm’s four core divisions: Transportation & Infrastructure, Buildings & Facilities, Construction Management, and Energy Services. He will report directly to Milo Riverso, Ph.D., P.E., CCM, president and chief executive officer of STV.

“Richard’s career has been defined by the strong relationships he has developed with many federal agencies,” said Riverso. “With more than 25 years of experience, he is the ideal candidate to spearhead STV’s efforts within this significant market.”

Over the course of his career, Kaufman has been a part of projects for a number of high profile federal clients including the National Park Service, Department of Homeland Security, National Archives and Record Administration, General Services Administration, Department of Labor, Federal Drug Administration, and the Architect of the Capitol.

Prior to joining STV, Kaufman was the senior vice president and director of global sales and business development at a large North American-based design and construction firm. In this role, he served as a strategic advisor for senior leadership and was responsible for the planning and strategy related to generating new business and organic growth for the existing customer base.

Kaufman earned his Bachelor of Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College and his Master of Science from Eastern Washington University.
