Erika Moshkovich, CPSM, vice president and regional marketing communications director for the national buildings group at STV, was recently named President-Elect of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) New York Chapter’s Executive Committee.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, SMPS is the foremost organization dedicated to advancing marketing and business development professionals in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. Moshkovich’s commitment to this vital organization reinforces the STV’s commitment to elevating the industry through our people’s knowledge and experience.
“Becoming the President-Elect of the SMPS New York Chapter is a profound privilege that will benefit both my professional and personal growth,” Moshkovich said. “This role provides a unique opportunity to refine my leadership skills, gain innovative technical knowledge and embrace best practices in marketing and proposal development. I intend to bring this knowledge back to my team at STV, boosting our capabilities and performance and aligning our efforts more closely with the evolving needs of our clients and the AEC industry.”
Moshkovich is a longtime member of the organization’s New York Chapter, joining SMPS in 2014. She previously served the Board as Director of Sponsorship. Her recent appointment as President-Elect for the 2023-24 term marks the beginning of a three-year commitment, with Moshkovich serving as President next year and as Immediate Past President the following year.
“My new role with SMPS is also a testament to STV’s strategic priorities, and underscores the firm’s commitment to communities, clients, and the professional development of our staff,” Moshkovich added. “I am grateful for the support from STV, particularly Kim Vierheilig, president of our national buildings group, who truly recognizes the immense value that active participation in SMPS brings to our marketing team.”
In addition to her vice-presidential role, Moshkovich is contributing as a mentor in the SMPS-NY Mentorship Program, drawing from her experience as a protégé for three years. This year-long commitment involves monthly meetings where she collaborates with her protégé to establish development goals and strategies and provides guidance on business development, relationship management and process establishment. She will also engage in career-related group sessions throughout the year, which provide a platform for valuable advice from mentors across the program.
Moshkovich has more than 18 years of experience in marketing, communications, proposal and business development in the AEC industry. In addition to SMPS, she is an avid member of the Women’s Transportation Seminary (WTS) and the Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP). She currently serves on the AMFP North/Central New Jersey Chapter’s Board as Director of Communications/Digital Media.
