STV’s Matthew Dimmick Advances Transit Cybersecurity as APTA Working Group Secretary

Matthew Dimmick, security development director at STV, has been elected Secretary of the American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) Transit Cybersecurity Working Group (TCSWG). The TCSWG is a national forum of transit and cybersecurity experts and leaders dedicated to strengthening the safety, reliability and resilience of public transportation systems. 

“I’m honored by the confidence this group has placed in me,” Dimmick said. “It’s a team of leading professionals in transit system security, and  I look forward to helping drive collaboration and innovative strategies that strengthen the cyber resilience of our nation’s transit networks.” 

A longtime APTA member, Dimmick has actively contributed to the Infrastructure Security and Systems Security Working Group. His experience in transit cybersecurity supports national efforts to protect critical transportation infrastructure. 

Through his role as Secretary of the TCSWG, Dimmick will help advance solutions that enhance the resilience and reliability of public transit, ensuring communities nationwide have access to safe and secure transportation systems.
