Rhode Island’s Compass School, a working farm and charter school serving kindergarten through eighth grade students, selected STV to provide owner’s project management (OPM) services to support the renovation and expansion of the school’s historic seed barn circa 1920 on the 20-acre campus. The barn is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and is being renovated and expanded to accommodate increasing enrollment at the school. The project includes a new science lab, multipurpose spaces, and additional classrooms.

The facility’s historic aesthetics will be maintained over the course of construction. The firm is overseeing the construction and project schedule.
