Delta Sky Way Program at LAX

The Delta Sky Way Program is a $2+ billion program that will enhance Terminals 2 and 3 of the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) through a reconstruction and renovation process. It is a critical part of the LAX Modernization Program that is transforming the airport in advance of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.

STV, in joint venture, is performing program and project management, baggage handling system management, scheduling, financial controls, change and contracts management, and tenant move management services.

The new central headhouse connecting Terminals 2 and 3 opened to the public in April 2022. The facility provides connectivity beyond security between Terminals 2 and 3, previously only possible via shuttle bus. In addition, a new Terminal 3 headhouse and a connector from Terminal 3 to the Tom Bradley International Terminal will be constructed. The program will provide new ticketing facilities and security screening checkpoint, new and renovated passenger hold rooms, a new baggage claim area, new and renovated facilities for airline operations, operational support spaces for Los Angeles World Airports, and new concessions programs. Additionally, a brand-new checked baggage inspection system for Transportation Security Administration and its associated infrastructure will be part of the program.

The Today Show featured Delta's new central headhouse connecting Terminals 2 and 3 in a segment about airport upgrades around the country.  View the segment here.
