Under a five-year-task-order contract, STV is providing engineering support for a variety of professional services including the technical support of transit bus procurements for the Maryland Department of Transportation Transit Administration (MTA).  The contract includes support for the purchase of 172 transit buses, along with the a more recently awarded 140 transit bus procurement and a future contract for a minimum of 199 transit buses.

The MTA is aggressively upgrading its bus fleet so as to dramatically improve commuter bus services throughout the state. STV also provided acceptance inspection and testing for multiple orders of 40-foot, low-floor heavy duty, clean diesel transit buses; performed in-plant quality assurance inspection during the production of these transit buses and mobility vans.
