STV is responsible for performing engineering analysis, design, and project management in support of the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Office of Engineering and Construction (OEC) for various toll facilities statewide. The scope of work includes Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) deployments and upgrades for fiber optic communications, closed-circuit television (CCTV) and dynamic message signs (DMS).

In support of a pavement rehabilitation project for the Francis Scott Key Bridge facility, STV prepared the design for the replacement of the facility’s fiber optic network that connected CCTV and DMS. The design included the installation of a temporary wireless communication system to maintain connectivity during construction.
