Salt Lake City Light Rail PMO

On behalf of the Federal Transit Administration, STV oversaw the preliminary engineering and final environmental impact statement, including planning, design, construction and start-up for a proposed $209 million, 15-mile light rail transit line extending south from Salt Lake City.

The firm’s scope of work also included oversight services for a supplemental draft environmental impact statement that was prepared to address alternative yard and shop sites; determination of the preferred Salt Lake City central business district alignment for the light rail route; alternative station sites that were being proposed; and an alternative southern terminus location.

STV’s oversight services entailed a review of the Design Criteria Manual for the preliminary engineering work and a review of the Quality Assurance Plan and Procedure’s manual submitted by the Utah Transit Authority’s consultant.
