STV provided design services for a 55,400-square-foot addition to the Sharadin Arts Building, as well as the renovation of the existing 55,300-square-foot facility. The $26 million project consolidated all of Kutztown University’s visual arts programs (Fine Arts, Art Education and Crafts, and Communications Design) into a single building with space for specialized art teaching labs and studios. The expanded building features a new art gallery, renovated lecture hall, a new entrance and a new "piazza," which functions as a meeting place and gateway into the campus.The firm also provided construction management services for the facility. Phased construction was a key element of the project, which was completed on schedule.
