Israel's former prison system consisted of old British forts, originally built to stem the advances of the Ottoman Empire prior to World War I. STV, in joint venture, designed Israel's first new prison in years, transforming the outdated system to be both more humane and secure. Organized around a "Town Center," the Tzalmon campus is divided into two major groupings with educational and vocational facilities distributed throughout the residential zone.
