As part of a larger task order contract with the New York City School Construction Authority, STV performed a range of construction management services for two pre-kindergarten schools, PS 491M on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and PS 474M on East 57th Street. In both instances, STV oversaw a fast-track fit-out of two new universal Pre-k facilities located within new, residential towers.  Each school is approximately 11,000 square feet and costs about $7 million. Both schools were built in under 150 calendar days.

Demonstrating the speed and efficiency of the construction team, in both instances, the schools were substantially completed ahead of schedule and met the New York City Department of Buildings project close-out requirements ahead of the client signing off on the projects’ punch sheets.
