With its pharmaceutical business growing rapidly, Viropharma Inc. needed significant square footage added to an existing laboratory in Exton, PA, to support research and development for various products requiring Federal Drug Administration approval. Because of the company’s urgent need to obtain these approvals and begin marketing the products, the project was fast-tracked, with design to be completed in just five weeks. By working closely with Viropharma and various vendors, STV designed the 16,900-square-foot addition, meeting the deadline, providing full mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for the addition to a building shell designed by a developer, delivering the project on schedule and under budget.
