Harrisburg Employees Step Up for a Good Cause

For the third consecutive summer, employees in STV's Harrisburg, PA office participated in a fitness challenge to raise money for a local charity. This year’s charity, the Pennsylvania State Resource Family Association (PSRFA), works to improve the quality of family life and influence child welfare policy and practice — a cause that particularly resonated with the Harrisburg team.

Participants in the Step Challenge were split into four teams to give the fundraiser a competitive edge. Each employee’s steps were recorded, supplemented by additional steps earned in events throughout the summer. Overall, teams raised $1,051 for the PSRFA. 

Altogether, participants logged 19,452,000 steps, totaling to 9,726 miles. Members of the winning team, which came in with a total of 5,854,000 steps (2,972 miles), each won a FitBit courtesy of STV.
