Route 8 Resurfacing, Bridge Rehabilitation, and Safety Improvements
Built in the 1960s, the Route 8 Limited Access Highway in Connecticut is in need of a major rehabilitation. To improve driving conditions for the 80,000 daily commuters, STV, as part of the design-build team Empire Paving, Inc., was selected for the design-build contract for its rehabilitation between Shelton and Seymour.
STV will provide engineering design services for structural pavement and bridge rehabilitations, drainage and culvert rehabilitations and replacements, guiderail and median barrier improvements, as well as environmental permitting for the 8.8-mile roadway.
