STV Appoints Strategic Growth Leader in California to Drive the Firm’s Construction Management Business Development

SACRAMENTO, CA – STV, a professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, today announced that David Watson, CCM, has joined the firm as vice president, West region manager for its construction management (CM) operating group. In this role, Watson will focus on enhancing client relationships and expanding the firm’s CM services in the West.

“Dave is uniquely positioned – both in a major hub of the West and in his relationships – to lead the growth of our robust construction management practice while providing the high-quality work our existing clients know and expect from STV,” said Luis Delgado, CM, PMP and president of the national CM group at STV. “He will use his exceptional level of industry knowledge to expand and invest in our existing capabilities in his local community.” 

Watson brings more than 20 years of experience in project and construction management (PMCM), including operational management and growth strategy for education, transportation and water practices for city, county, state and federal clients. On an international level, he brings PMCM experience working with government agencies with design-build and alternative delivery methods. Prior to joining STV, Watson was vice president at a global professional services firm, where he established a proven record of delivering projects with up to $5 billion in program value.

Watson received his Bachelor of Science from California State University, and Master of Business Administration from the University of Liverpool.

STV’s team of PMCM experts have more than 30 years of experience delivering projects in the West. This includes multimillion-dollar projects such as the new patient tower for Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and owner’s project management for Mills College in Oakland, where STV was responsible for renovation and maintenance across the 165-acre campus’ 65 historic buildings to contemporary structures. The firm has also provided CM services for other notable clients in the region including the Los Angeles Unified School District, Los Angeles County and Microsoft.
