STV senior associate and Business Development Director Robert Rusciano recently began a two-year term as chair of the new Buildings and Facilities Committee for the American Council of Engineering Companies New Jersey Chapter (ACEC NJ).
“Creating this committee was several years in the making,” Rusciano said. “Our goal is to connect with local agencies to get a better understanding of how we can engage more with them.”
In this role, he will support the 10-person committee’s mission to strengthen the business environment for member firms through government advocacy, political action, and professional and business education.
This includes providing these resources to school development authorities and other agencies with a multitude of facilities in need of modernization or improvements. As chair, Rusciano will lead the discussions with agencies to develop a blueprint for ACEC NJ members to seize ongoing opportunities.
In addition to being a long-standing steward and active member of ACEC NJ, Rusciano brings deep agency knowledge to the committee.
“With 25 years on the client side of agency interactions, I have a unique perspective and insight into the process,” he said. “I hope to act as a bridge between state and county agencies and our peers here at ACEC NJ.”
