STV’s Atlanta team, including William Michaud, structural engineering specialist, Evan Sanders, P.E., engineer, and Aria Scaggs, engineering specialist, were recently invited by A.L. Burruss Elementary School’s Science Olympiad team in Marietta, GA, to provide insights about engineering and problem solving to this aspiring group of next-generation STEM professionals.

The STV team presented about the basics of bridge engineering and even led an activity where the students constructed bridge models. The winning team’s bridge spanned 23 centimeters and held a pound of clay without collapsing.
