Chris Haney, PE, president of the water practice at STV, has joined the board of directors of The Water Tower, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing innovation, applied research, workforce development and technology solutions for the water industry.
Located in Buford, Georgia, The Water Tower brings together utilities, technology providers, academic institutions and industry leaders to address the water sector’s most pressing challenges through collaboration, education and real-world testing environments.
Haney’s appointment builds on STV’s growing partnership with The Water Tower and commitment to Gwinnett County, Georgia. A sustaining partner of the organization since 2024, STV has supported the organization’s efforts to accelerate innovation, advance applied research and help prepare the next generation of water professionals. Our team has also contributed to research initiatives, technology demonstrations and industry events hosted at The Water Tower’s innovation campus.
Haney also served on The Water Tower’s Research Advisory Committee, helping shape research priorities and foster collaboration among utilities, technology providers and industry stakeholders. He brings more than 30 years of experience leading complex water, wastewater and water resources infrastructure programs across the United States and currently oversees STV’s national water practice.
