Cities Initiative Leader Honored for Industry Advocacy
Keith Benjamin

Keith Benjamin, vice president and national planning leader for STV’s Cities Initiative, was recently honored for his service and policy implementation during his time working for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) at the Transportation Research Board’s (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Benjamin received the “Champion of Energy, Environment and Mobility” award during EVNoire’s Annual Black & Latino Mobility/Transportation Professionals and Allies Reception.

Before joining STV last Fall, Benjamin served as the associate administrator for highway policy and external affairs for FHWA. In this role, he engaged members of Congress, state agencies, local communities and others in the implementation of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding, as well as FHWA’s FY22-26 strategic plan.

As the national planning lead for the Cities Initiative, Benjamin is focused on improving local communities by growing the organization’s influence as a trusted advisor to clients, stakeholders and decision-makers.

“It was an honor to serve alongside such an amazing group of civil servants at FHWA, engaging local communities in improving infrastructure across the country,” Benjamin said. “I’m incredibly grateful for this award and excited to continue to leverage my federal experiences to inform the future of STV’s Cities Initiative.”
