STV’s Alejandra Chinea, AIA, CMIT, CHC, project manager, was selected for the national Construction Management Association of America’s (CMAA) highly competitive 2023 Emerging Leaders Program.
The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) takes 10 early career professionals representing the best in our industry and brings them together to network and learn via national conferences, meetings with industry leaders, and new leadership responsibilities within CMAA.
“It comes as no surprise that Ale was selected for the program,” said David Kelly, vice president, project executive, and Chinea’s supervisor. “Time and time again, she’s proven how construction managers provide a crucial link to our clients and project teams. She dedicates herself fully to the success of her client’s programs.”
Chinea has been a CMAA member since 2016. She currently specializes in working with clients and projects within the firm’s healthcare practice and by supporting the group’s larger goals of enhancing the patient experience in facility’s as well as improved hospital operations.
“I’m most looking forward to working with veteran industry leaders and the rest of the ELP cohort,” Chinea said. “The simple act of participating and creating experiences with a group of diverse, yet like-minded professionals is the true catalyst for individual growth.”
“I’m very impressed by the work Alejandra’s done in her time at STV,” said Luis Delgado, CCM, PMP and president of the national CM group, who first encouraged Alejandra to apply to the program. “She’ll be an excellent representative of the firm, and I look forward to seeing her develop as an emerging leader.”
