Forbes Travel Guide named New York’s LaGuardia Airport the Best U.S. Airport as part of Forbes’ inaugural Verified Air Travel Awards. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced the prestigious honor that spotlights the airport’s $8 billion redevelopment program to transform LaGuardia into a world-class aviation hub.

STV, in joint venture, served as construction manager for LaGuardia’s Terminal B redevelopment. The project elevated the terminal into a modern, 1.3-million-square-foot facility complete with two “island” concourses, 35 gates, and a four-story arrivals and departures hall.

Terminal B earned numerous accolades, including LEED® Version 4 Gold certification, UNESCO’s 2021 Prix Versailles, Skytrax 2023 World’s Best New Airport Terminal, and an inaugural Special Achievement Award from the National Academy of Construction.

The firm, also in joint venture with Satterfield & Pontikes, and in partnership with Turner Construction and Group PMX, served as construction manager-as-agent for Delta Air Lines’ Terminal C at LaGuardia. Terminal C features a 457,000-square-foot headhouse, Concourse E and road networks. That program has also been well-celebrated, including earning the Empire Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of New York (ACEC NY) and a Grand Award from ACEC’s national Engineering Excellence Awards.
