Frances Jensen, associate, strategic growth coordinator and executive assistant for STV’s water team, has been named the 2026 Member of the Year by the Dallas Chapter of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). She received the honor during the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) Engineers Week Luncheon at the Plano Event Center in February.
The award recognizes Jensen’s significant contributions to the AEC community, where she has become a respected leader, connector and advocate for engagement across the industry. Her strong reputation throughout North Texas for the impact she brings to SAME and other professional organizations demonstrates the essential role of marketing and communications professionals in advancing the engineering profession.
“It was inspiring to stand alongside award recipients from engineering organizations across North Texas,” said Jensen. “I’m grateful to work in a place that encourages us not just to show up, but to get involved, serving on committees, joining boards and helping shape the future of our profession.”
Over the past decade, Jensen has held leadership roles with SAME Dallas Post – where she now serves as Vice President/President‑Elect – and with the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) North Texas chapter, where she serves on the board as Secretary. She is also deeply involved in the City of Grapevine community, contributing her time to the City of Grapevine Heritage Foundation and to longstanding volunteer roles with the historic Palace Theater and Nash Farm. She also volunteers at MATHCOUNTS.
Jensen brings more than 25 years of experience in marketing, strategic communications and business development across the infrastructure sector. Before joining STV, she served as a marketing manager at CP&Y (now part of STV) and held a series of marketing and communications leadership roles that strengthened her expertise in pursuits, client engagement and organizational strategy. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Journalism from Stephen F. Austin State University, graduating on the Dean’s List.
