STV’s team in Franklin recently spent an evening volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. The group sorted and packed 5,015 pounds of food – equivalent to 4,179 meals for families in need.
“Volunteering at Second Harvest is always a fun and rewarding experience for all involved,” said Natalie Geng, roadway engineer. “It’s especially meaningful to step away from our day-to-day work and give back to the community together, knowing that our time helps fight food insecurity and empower families across the Nashville area. I’m thankful that STV is actively engaged in making communities better and am excited for the next volunteering event.”

STV employees worked together to assemble, label and recycle boxes; sort cold and frozen food; pack and weigh boxes; ready completed pallets for distribution; and compost unusable food items.
“I’m so grateful to have been part of STV’s recent volunteer shift,” said Edi Mihalcea, environmental planner. “Not only did we have the opportunity to support our community, but we also strengthened our teamwork and connected outside of the typical work environment – an experience I truly cherished. A big thank you to STV and the Second Harvest Food Bank volunteer coordinators for making this opportunity possible.a”
