STV Landscape Architect Heather English, PLA, ASLA, was recently appointed member of the Maryland Board of Examiners of Landscape Architects.

The Maryland Board of Examiners of Landscape Architects regulates the practice of landscape architecture across the state, qualifies and licenses individuals seeking licensure, and issues permits to business entities through which landscape architecture is practiced. One of three licensed landscape architects on the Board, English begins her three-year term in July.

“I am honored to be appointed as a member of the Maryland Board of Examiners of Landscape Architects,” English said. “I look forward to serving as a Board member and aiding in both regulating and advancing the landscape architecture profession, serving the best interests of all Maryland citizens.”

English is a landscape architect with more than 15 years of experience providing design and management of land development, transportation, and education projects. Most recently, she has been leading STV’s landscape architectural services for the Locke Landing’s multi-family buildings component at the Baltimore Peninsula, including streetscape design, a courtyard and two building amenity decks for 400+ dwelling units. Having worked extensively with the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA), she is very familiar with the state’s specifications and requirements for landscape architecture.

English is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).
