Julia Campbell, PE, LEED AP, a senior program manager at STV, has been selected for the Loeb Fellowship at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design as a member of its Class of 2027.

One of 10 practitioners selected for the highly competitive program, Campbell joins a cohort of professionals whose work advances the built and natural environments and supports positive social outcomes. Fellows draw on resources across Harvard and MIT, audit courses, engage with faculty and students, participate in seminars and study tours, and collaborate with peers from a range of disciplines.

Campbell brings extensive experience leading complex transportation programs for major public-sector organizations. Before joining STV, she served as deputy chief of streets for infrastructure and design for the City of Boston, where she oversaw capital and maintenance programs from design through construction. Her career has spanned policy, planning and project delivery, including advancing mobility initiatives in Los Angeles and leading multidisciplinary teams focused on sustainable infrastructure solutions.

“The fellowship will give me the opportunity to examine some of the larger challenges facing professionals in the infrastructure industry,” Campbell said. “We may understand the technical solutions that can make streets safer and communities more connected, but support for those solutions is often the more difficult part of infrastructure projects.”

Campbell plans to explore new approaches to project development, community engagement and collaboration, particularly at the municipal level.

“I am excited to build new relationships, skills, and ways of thinking during my time in the fellowship,” Campbell said. “My goal is to help communities come together to support infrastructure improvements that meaningfully enhance quality of life.”

Upon completing the program, Campbell will join a worldwide network of more than 450 Loeb Fellowship alumni.
