NEW YORK, NY – As a reflection of the increasing importance of digital technology in the architectural/engineering/construction (AEC) industry, KiSeok Jeon has joined STV as a vice president and director of digital transformation.
In this new role, Jeon will advise clients on process improvements and best practices for using business applications and other AEC production tools. He is based in New York and reports to STV executive vice president Marcos Diaz Gonzalez, who joined the firm earlier this year to expand the firm’s advisory services and program management capabilities.
“KiSeok is an exciting addition to our team because he has a wealth of cutting-edge, implementable knowledge that stands to benefit our clients, as well as our own colleagues,” Diaz Gonzalez said. “STV’s full-service delivery and program controls capabilities provide us with a first-hand view as to what digital technological processes can be improved or rethought. Bringing aboard someone with KiSeok’s expertise enables us to better communicate these insights to our clients.”
Jeon has some 15 years of experience in technology implementation in the AEC industry. Prior to joining STV, he served as a leader in the innovative and efficient execution of design and construction processes for a multinational AEC firm.
Jeon’s project experience includes leading the product development team for the implementation of a project management information system platform in support of a large-scale correctional facility improvement program in New York City; leading the development and implementation for an automated tunnel modeling module for Reseau Express Metropolitan transit system in Montreal, Canada; leading the implementation of a project collaboration and communication methodology for an alternate care facility in Old Westbury, NY; and leading a team that provided project BIM (building information modeling) and project data flow at the Javits Center expansion program in New York City.
Jeon earned his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from the Rhode Island School of Design and is currently an adjunct associate professor at Columbia University’s Engineering School.
