CHICAGO, IL – STV, a leading professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, today announced that Kitts Christov has joined the firm as senior vice president and Midwest district manager for the firm’s transportation south/central group. In this role, Christov will work closely with STV’s transportation clients in the Midwest on projects that connect communities and boost local economies.

“With nearly two decades of experience and a robust background in strategic planning, operations, leadership and sales, Kitts adds a wealth of knowledge and deep relationships to our Midwest team,” said Jerry Stump, PE, president of the transportation south/central group at STV. “Some of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. are in the Midwest and with Kitts helping lead the way, we are well positioned to continue growing our business and serving communities in this area.”

In the newly created role of Midwest district manager, Christov will oversee and develop a district-specific strategy focused on fostering growth in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin. Christov will also lead business development efforts, focusing on building new client relationships and expanding STV’s local service offerings to a region that continues to prioritize equitable and sustainable transportation infrastructure for its residents and economy.

A resident of Chicago, Christov has served for the past sixteen years on the advisory council for the City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the U.S. and one of the leading research centers for diabetes. Previously, she has served as a board member for the O’Hare Modernization Program with the Chicago Department of Aviation and executive board member for ACE Chicago.

Christov earned her bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and a master’s degree from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut.

STV has an extensive track record in the Midwest with work dating back nearly four decades with clients such as Metra, the Illinois and Chicago Departments of Transportation and the Illinois Tollway. STV provides a full range of professional infrastructure services including engineering design, construction services and program and project management. STV example projects include the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District on the Kensington Interlocking Improvements in Chicago, which significantly reduced commuter gridlock. STV also led construction management for a critical freight rail yard expansion in Ohio and for the Harrison Street Viaduct reconstruction for the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT).
