Natalie Geng, PE, a roadway engineer at STV in Franklin, Tennessee, has received the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Nashville Branch Young Engineer Award, which honors early-career professionals for leadership, technical excellence and service to the engineering profession.

In addition to this recognition, Geng has been named president-elect of the ASCE Nashville Branch and will assume this post in October, continuing her active role in advancing the profession and supporting engineers across the region.

“ASCE has played a meaningful role in shaping how I approach engineering, leadership and service,” Geng said. “Stepping into a leadership role with the Nashville Branch is an opportunity to support the profession locally while continuing to learn from peers who care deeply about the communities we serve.”

In addition to her involvement with ASCE, Geng is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE). She was recently elected to the ASHE Middle Tennessee Chapter Board of Directors and serves as Public Relations Committee Chair.

Her work at STV spans geometric roadway design, traffic control, drainage, erosion and sediment control, and construction plan development, with experience on projects for the Tennessee Department of Transportation and regional municipalities. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Georgia.

“Natalie approaches her work with care, technical expertise and a clear sense of responsibility – to her projects, her colleagues and the profession,” said Brad Thompson, vice president and Tennessee area manager at STV. “Her leadership within ASCE reflects how she shows up every day at STV, and it’s fitting to see that commitment recognized.”
