STV Senior Engineer Joins New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers Board

Isaac Forero, an STV senior engineer in Newark, NJ, has been appointed to the Board of the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers (NJSPE). This prestigious appointment, announced at the 2024 Installation & Awards Reception, underscores Forero’s professional excellence and STV’s commitment to leadership in the engineering community.

In his new role, Forero will serve at the national level as a delegate on the NJSPE House of Delegates and as a director on the state Executive Board. This dual position allows him to contribute to advancing the engineering profession both within New Jersey and across the nation.

“I am honored to join the Board of the NJSPE,” Forero said. “This appointment represents an exciting opportunity to give back to a profession that has given me so much. I look forward to collaborating with fellow professionals to address industry challenges, promote sustainable practices, and inspire the next generation of engineers.”

As a senior structural bridge engineer, Forero is currently a structures leads for the Betsy Ross Bridge Reconstruction project.

Forero’s passion for engineering was sparked by his family. His father was a contractor, and his uncle was an architect. He fondly remembers visiting his uncle’s office, reviewing plans and accompanying his father to work sites. “When choosing a career path, it was a ‘no brainer.’ I eventually gravitated toward bridges and design, and my career grew from there,” he said.
