Amy Esguerra, ENV SP, an environmental project manager in our San Antonio office, was recently elected to serve as President of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) San Antonio Chapter’s 2023 Executive Board.
Esguerra, a longtime member of WTS, has previously held other leadership positions with this chapter, including President-Elect, Finance Committee Chair, Treasurer, and Scholarship Chair. She has also served on various WTS committees and initiatives, such as the Annual Awards gala, other fundraising efforts, and Transportation YOU, a mentoring program for young girls designed to introduce them to a wide variety of transportation careers.
“I am honored to lead such an amazing and impactful organization,” Esguerra said. “WTS offers so many valuable opportunities for learning, networking, and leadership development. Being involved with WTS at the leadership level has been one of the highlights of my professional career. This chapter has created an environment where we celebrate and encourage each other. It has been so fulfilling to see firsthand how this organization not only helps advance the careers of women in transportation, but it does so in such a supportive way.”
At STV, Esguerra has served as the environmental project manager and deputy project manager for a range of projects including new roadways and roadway improvements, sewer and water pipeline replacements, and new water system developments. For the past five years, she has played a key part in providing environmental oversight for the design and construction of an Alliance Regional Water Authority (ARWA) project that will provide water to the central Texas region.
