Reema Albahri, a project manager and associate in our transportation and infrastructure group in New York, has been named to Professional Women in Construction (PWC) New York’s “20 Under 40” list honoring 20 individuals who are currently excelling in their careers.
Since joining STV in 2019, Albahri has supported several key projects and clients in the New York Metropolitan region, including managing an ongoing $1.5+ million biennial bridge inspection contract for statewide staff augmentation with New York State Department of Transportation; performing resident engineering inspection services for the $60+ million Hudson Line Express Cable Installation project and Nanuet Station Platform Shelter Replacement project for MTA Construction & Development and Metro-North Railroad; and construction management services for the $13 million Livonia Maintenance Shop Rehabilitation for MTA New York City Transit. Additionally, she helped lead construction inspections on the $42 million Long Slip Fill & Rail Enhancement project for NJ TRANSIT, is currently on the team performing construction management services for the $1.8 billion Portal North Bridge (which connects to the larger Gateway Tunnel Program between New York and New Jersey) for NJ TRANSIT/Amtrak.
“I’ve been fortunate to have had opportunities over the course of my career to work on several construction programs that are having a generational impact on society within the New York and New Jersey regions,” Albahri said. “I’m truly humbled and honored to be celebrated as part of PWC’s 20 Under 40 outstanding women in construction.”
Additionally, Albahri has been an active industry steward and thought leader, serving on various boards and committees such as PWC’s Mentorship Committee, Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects (AAAEA) Tri-State Chapter Vice President and NY Liaison, Women Builders Council (WBC), American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) New York Chapter Public Relations and Engineering Excellence Awards Committees, Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Greater New York Chapter Programs Committee, Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) Membership Committee, and New York Building Congress (NYBC) Council of Industry Women Young Professionals Committee.
Having earned her Bachelor of Science degree from NYU Tandon School of Engineering, she is also an active member of NYU’s Alumni Association.
Albahri will be honored at PWC’s 2022 Holiday Party on December 8.
