STV employees recently participated in and sponsored The Water Tower’s 6th Annual Watering Hole Charity Golf Tournament, held at the Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course in Buford, Georgia. The golf tournament brought together more than 150 water professionals, utilities and community partners to support of The Water Tower, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing applied research, technology innovation, and workforce development for the water industry.
The tournament, in combination with the organization’s new AquaRoyale Casino Night event, raised over $100,000 this year in support of The Water Tower’s programs. Proceeds directly benefit The Water Tower’s education initiatives such as STEM workshops for high school students exploring water careers and workforce training programs for individuals seeking a career in water or wastewater operations.
“The Watering Hole Golf Tournament reflects the collaboration and shared purpose that make The Water Tower such a driving force in our industry,” said Chris Haney, national water group president at STV. “Through events like this, STV and our team are investing in the next generation of water leaders by supporting education, training and opportunities that help young professionals build lasting careers in this critical field. Our partnership with The Water Tower underscores our commitment to advancing water innovation, strengthening communities and ensuring the future of our industry remains in capable hands.”

STV’s participation and sponsorship builds on the organization’s ongoing partnership with The Water Tower. As a Sustaining Partner, STV plays a key role in supporting its mission to advance applied research, technology deployment and workforce development. The Water Tower’s collaborative environment – featuring labs, demonstration areas and training spaces – serves as a vital hub for piloting and testing real-world solutions to the most pressing challenges in water infrastructure. STV actively uses these facilities to evaluate emerging technologies and validate innovative water treatment and monitoring approaches.
