WTS North Carolina Triangle Chapter selected STV as its 2025 Employer of the Year and recognized Terry Snow, PE, vice president, with the 2025 Honorable Ray LaHood Award. The annual awards gala celebrates the transportation industry in the NC Triangle, with all proceeds supporting young women entering STEM education and career paths.
Several STV team members representing the organization’s North Carolina offices were on hand to celebrate the major win and honor their colleague, Snow, who is the firm’s Carolinas district manager.
The STV team was praised by WTS NC Triangle for the firm’s focus on recruiting, retaining and advancing women in the transportation industry. The chapter singled out STV’s career and mentorship initiatives, including its internship program, leadership development program, and continuing education program, for helping women advance and thrive in their careers. That includes events like STV’s Raleigh team’s recent partnership with Southeast Raleigh High School’s STEM program, creating a pipeline for high school students to intern at STV.
“STV is steadfast in its commitment to advancing women across the architecture, engineering and construction industry,” said Jerry Stump, PE, president of the Transportation South/Central group at STV. “We’re longstanding supporters of WTS NC Triangle and WTS Charlotte Metro chapters and also have numerous team members from the firm serving in leadership positions across WTS. It’s truly an honor to see the efforts of STV, particularly our teams here in the Carolinas, recognized by WTS NC Triangle.”

Snow, with over 35 years dedicated to transportation, has continually sought to enhance his knowledge and skills in both engineering and business development and has led major transportation programs across North Carolina and South Carolina.
“Although Terry prefers to let others receive praise, his contributions deserve recognition, and I’m thrilled to see him celebrated by WTS NC Triangle,” said Claire Brinkley, vice president and area manager for Charlotte, NC. “Terry is an invaluable part of our Carolinas and South/Central leadership team. He exemplifies unparalleled integrity, honesty, professionalism, work ethic, dedication and leadership, and he has been a fierce advocate for me and other women in our industry.”
Snow is deeply involved in industry organizations throughout the Carolinas, serving on the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors, North Carolina Economic Development Association, the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) in South Carolina and the American Society of Highway Engineers in South Carolina.
