ATLANTA, GA – STV today announced that Clark Wiedetz has joined the firm as vice president, energy solutions for STV’s growing power practice. In this new role, Wiedetz will lead the firm’s work in the rising power market, a priority initiative in the company’s 2026–2028 strategic plan.

As part of the firm’s Advisory Services line, the power and energy practice will guide clients in navigating the shifting landscape through two core areas of focus:

  • Smart energy planning that identifies operational and long-term savings supported by STV’s engineering depth.
  • High-impact infrastructure upgrades that advance performance, including onsite power and energy systems such as renewables, decentralization and battery storage.

“Clark understands how to turn emerging technologies into solutions that strengthen performance for our clients,” said Garo Hovnanian, executive vice president, Advisory Services at STV. “His experience in fast-moving markets will help our clients adopt new technologies that deliver immediate benefits and long-term energy resilience.”

With nearly three decades of experience launching and scaling new business lines across the energy sector, Wiedetz has led national programs in microgrids, distributed energy, renewables and Energy-as-a-Service models. Prior to joining STV, he co-founded a microgrid solutions joint venture and established the Alternative and Distributed Energy group for a global technology leader, guiding its expansion across key markets nationwide. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

STV’s advisory services team brings unique expertise and capabilities that help clients make informed decisions at key moments in a program’s lifecycle.  By integrating advisory capabilities with planning, design and construction, the team helps optimize resources, manage risk and improve outcomes. Recent work includes the zero-emission transformation of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s bus fleet, flood resilience and mitigation at New York City Transit’s Coney Island Yard in Brooklyn, New York, and the program management and corridor development of Montgomery County, Maryland’s, bus rapid transit (BRT) implementation plan
