Kim Vierheilig, president of STV’s Buildings group, was recently honored at the New Jersey Alliance for Action’s 5th Annual “Salute to Women in Construction” awards program.
The Alliance for Action is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting infrastructure investment and job creation across the state. The “Salute to Women in Construction” event celebrates the passion, determination and expertise of New Jersey’s female construction leaders. Honorees of the program represent a wide range of industries, including utilities, government, design, engineering, contracting and the labor community, and are recognized for their leadership and impact across the construction industry.
At this year’s event, five women were recognized as trailblazers of the industry, including Vierheilig. Event chair Lisa Ballerini presented the award. In her acceptance speech, Vierheilig shared her experiences navigating a male-dominated field and the lessons she hopes to pass down to the next generation of women leaders.
“As we look to the future, let’s continue to lift each other up, mentor those who come after us, and lead with excellence in everything we do,” Vierheilig said.
