STV Chief Executive Officer Greg Kelly, PE, was recently honored by the Salvadori Center with its Award for Business during the organization’s annual benefit.
The Salvadori Center is an esteemed organization that offers K-12 students hands-on, project-based lessons that are tied to the built environment and that align with STV’s commitment to promoting education in science, technology, engineering, arts/architecture and math (STEAM) disciplines.
In accepting the award, Kelly remarked about some of the extraordinary scientific and technological innovations that will have a profound impact on the AEC industry, as well as the economy’s productivity and potential.
“Technology is fire, but talent is the fuel,” Kelly said. “The Salvadori Center’s commitment to providing opportunities for ambitious, diverse and creative students serves the greater good. I am honored to be a part of this community and I am eternally optimistic that together, with leaders like the ones here today, we will accelerate the fire in the next generation of leaders who will in turn create a bigger a bolder future for all.”
Over the course of his career, Kelly has been passionate about providing pathways for young people and STEAM professionals alike. He was elected to the National Academy of Construction and The Moles and he also serves on the executive committee of the Construction Industry Round Table and as chair of the Temple University College of Engineering Board of Visitors.
