STV’s team demonstrated its long-standing dedication to developing future leaders in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry by sponsoring and participating in the New York Building Congress Young Professionals’ 2026 Albany Day.
As part of this event, STV helped amplify the collective voice of emerging professionals advocating for policies that enhance New York’s infrastructure, housing and transit networks.
STV team members joined CEO Greg Kelly, PE – who also serves as Chair of the New York Building Congress – in Albany for a meaningful day of discussion, education and engagement with state leaders. Alongside peers from across the AEC sector, the team highlighted the crucial need to invest in resilient, sustainable and future-focused systems that keep New York’s communities thriving. In addition to meeting with state senators and assembly members, the group toured the ongoing renovation of The Egg Performing Arts Center, an iconic cultural facility undergoing transformative upgrades.
“Events like Albany Day reflect the growing influence of young professionals in shaping a stronger, more connected New York,” said Elizabeth Lisk, PE, structural engineer in STV’s national buildings group. “By engaging policymakers and championing the built environment, we’re helping drive the ideas and leadership that move our communities forward.”
