STV Elevates Senior Leadership Team to Support Growing NYC Construction Management Practice

NEW YORK, NY – STV, a leading professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, today announced new senior leadership promotions for its national Construction Management (CM) operating group. STV’s new leadership team for CM includes:

  • Vincent Zito, CCM, DBIA, vice president and project executive, has assumed overall responsibility as portfolio manager for the firm’s New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) CM services.

  • George Diakoumakos, CCM, LME, senior associate and senior project manager, has been promoted to deputy portfolio manager for NYCHA CM services. 

  • Bruce Fox, P.E., senior associate and CM project executive, will step up as interim portfolio manager for CM services at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), owned by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ).

  • Ekundayo Alamutu, RA, AIA, NCARB, SSM, CCM, LEED AP BD+C, associate and project director, will provide insight as portfolio manager for the New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) CM services.

In his role, Zito is responsible for the successful oversight and execution of large-scale residential and educational programs comprising of numerous simultaneous projects and multiple field teams. A project and operations manager with more than 40 years of industry experience (including 10 years as an STV project executive for NYCHA projects), Zito will work closely to bring his expertise to critical aspects of NYCHA’s modernization projects in the community.

With 25 years of institutional knowledge of NYCHA’s practices and procedures, Diakoumakos provides essential project management services for new builds and renovation projects, with a focus on electrical and security system upgrades in occupied resident facilities. He will continue to manage CM programs for NYCHA’s housing renovations, upgrades and inspections. Diakoumakos is currently managing multiple NYCHA contracts for major improvements including residence upgrades, security enhancements and utility renovations.

Fox’s 40-year-long legacy of service includes CM programs for several of PANYNJ’s complex, high-profile projects. He has managed budgets, purchasing and the implementation of project cost controls throughout construction, project completion and close-out. He will focus on improving operational performance and strengthening client relationships with project delivery and quality management.

In his role, Alamutu’s extensive track record with the NYCSCA’s mentor program predates joining STV in 2018. With 30 years of experience, he guides the mentor and emergency response programs that train minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MBE/WBE) for opportunities to develop their business practices for larger contract opportunities.

STV’s nationwide Construction Management group provides a comprehensive range of expertise to clients in both the public and private sectors. Its services encompass program management, project and construction management, as well as purchasing and contracting, project controls and fiscal stewardship. STV has extensive experience bringing transformative improvements to NYCHA, NYCSCA and JFK Airport infrastructure throughout the five boroughs. The firm notably provided CM services for security enhancements throughout 34 different NYCHA developments, garnering project awards from the Construction Management Association of America’s NY/NJ chapter and the Construction Management Association of America. STV’s on-call services for NYCSCA’s mentor program has been renewed for another three-year contract.
