VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – STV today announced that Todd Childress, PE, has joined the firm as vice president and Virginia Beach area manager. The appointment further strengthens STV’s local leadership team as the firm broadens its reach in one of the nation’s most active infrastructure markets, with transportation investment accelerating across Virginia.

In this role, Childress will lead transportation operations and business development in Virginia Beach while supporting STV’s broader growth across the Commonwealth. He will also serve as STV’s client service leader for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), providing strategic leadership and project coordination for the firm’s work with the agency.

“Todd has spent his career helping Virginia’s transportation agencies deliver some of the Commonwealth’s most important infrastructure programs and understands firsthand the challenges our clients face,” said Terry Snow, PE, senior vice president and Atlantic district manager at STV. “Todd’s experience will help us strengthen project delivery, deepen client relationships and continue building on STV’s momentum across Virginia.”

Childress brings more than 30 years of transportation experience spanning highways, bridges, tunnels and rail. Throughout his career, he has helped deliver major infrastructure programs for VDOT, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel District and the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority. He has built and led multidisciplinary teams responsible for delivering some of Virginia’s most complex transportation initiatives. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Old Dominion University.

For more than 60 years, STV has supported the growth and evolution of Virginia’s transportation network, partnering with state and local agencies to deliver highway, rail, transit and multimodal improvements.
