STV’s involvement in the Austin community extends beyond individual project delivery, reflecting the firm’s long-term, on-the-ground role supporting local schools and neighborhoods.
As part of its ongoing work supporting the Austin Independent School District’s (Austin ISD) historic five‑year bond program, STV is actively engaging with organizations and events that reflect the district’s commitment to accessibility and student well-being – particularly for schools serving students with complex needs.
Members of STV’s Austin ISD program management and construction management (PM/CM) team participated alongside joint venture partner Vanir in the 32nd Annual Rosedale Ride, an annual community event benefiting The Rosedale Foundation and the Rosedale School community in Austin, Texas. The event brought together the same project teams supporting improvements across Austin ISD campuses, reinforcing shared responsibility beyond the jobsite.

The Rosedale Ride brings together riders, volunteers, families and local organizations for a day focused on connection and community support. STV’s Sonny Fletcher, vice president and portfolio manager, represented our team as a rider while Monica Okiring, project coordinator, and Marisa Garcia, project controls project manager, supported the event as volunteers.
“The Rosedale Ride reflects the kind of community connection that comes from working side by side with our clients and partners over time,” Fletcher said. “For our team in Austin, it’s meaningful to support the same students and families our work ultimately serves.”
Founded in 1988, the Rosedale School serves students ages 3 to 21 with disabilities and complex medical, social and behavioral needs that cannot be met in traditional educational environments. Through a family-focused approach, Rosedale provides tailored instructional and support services designed to improve independence, self-esteem and quality of life for its students.

Supporting that mission, The Rosedale Foundation was established in 1998 to fund specialized equipment, educational programs and experiences that go beyond standard school allocations. Over the years, the foundation has helped deliver sensory rooms, assistive communication technology and an award-winning, ultra-accessible campus designed specifically for the medically complex and lifelong developmental disabilities community.
STV and Vanir are currently providing program and construction management services to improve educational facilities across multiple Austin ISD campuses as part of the district’s $2.44-billion, five-year bond program – the largest in district history.
The bond program is guided by an “Equity by Design” framework that prioritizes underserved communities and inclusive learning environments. Through this work, STV and its joint venture partners are helping modernize schools in ways that better serve students with diverse academic, physical and medical needs across the district.
The long‑term collaboration between STV, Vanir and Austin ISD has established a strong presence in the region, making participation in local events like the Rosedale Ride especially meaningful for team members working in the community.
This year’s ride marked a milestone for the Rosedale School community, with fundraising efforts surpassing the school’s previous record – a reflection of sustained community support for students, families, caregivers and educators.
