STV’s team in Morrisville, NC, recently spent time giving back to the surrounding Raleigh-Durham communities.

A group of 11 employees gathered for a volunteer shift at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, sorting and packaging vibrant, farm-fresh collard greens for those in need.

“This was an amazing opportunity for us to come together to help others,” said Area Manager Patrick Livingston. “The food bank and its branch locations serve as the central hub of a network of over 700 partner programs across a 34-county region. STV is proud to give back to this important organization that is working to overcome hunger and help all North Carolinians thrive.”

Shortly after that, STV fielded a team in the Special Olympics of North Carolina’s Plane Pull fundraising event. The Plane Pull – a team building activity that requires participants to pull a Delta Airlines aircraft 25 feet – was hosted at the Raleigh-Durham (RDU) International Airport. The STV team chose a superhero theme, exemplifying strength, determination, and a commitment to making communities better.

“We had a great time at the Plane Pull,” said team captain Justin Plute. “Our team of superheroes came together to complete the plane pull task and help the event raise over $100,000 in support of the Special Olympics. The unique location of the event was a fun way for us to not only give back to our community, but also celebrate STV’s growing aviation practice and our continued commitment to the Raliegh-Durham International Airport Authority”. The team looks forward to competing in next year’s event.

STV recently announced the launch of a national aviation practice to better support airport owners, operators, developers and airlines and the more than $151 billion of capital investments needed to improve airports and other aviation hubs throughout the United States.
