As the winter holidays approach, STV’s team has shifted their focus from delivering projects to presents, bringing joy to local families. STV employees partnered with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) to spread cheer and give back to the community through the authority’s annual toy drive.
“As long-term partners with NYCHA, it was a rewarding experience to be asked to participate,” said Vincent Zito, CCM, DBIA, STV vice president, and project executive. “The places we spend our days at are more than jobsites; they’re people’s homes. It was a gift to support these families in new ways.”
In collaboration with the presidents from NYCHA’s Tenant Association (TA) – representing 335 public housing developments – the STV team collected more than 100 toys. Alongside the Chair of the Citywide Council of Presidents’ Board, Daniel Barber, STV placed toy collection bins at two jobsite locations as well as the company’s flagship office in the Empire State Building.
“I love this program. At STV we aim to improve the lives of all residents through our work, and this is one more way we can do that,” said George Diakoumakos, CCM, L.M.E., and project executive. “It’s about building stronger communities – not just through infrastructure, but through acts of kindness and generosity.”
