VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – STV today announced the opening of its new 5,034-square-foot office at the Armada Hoffler Tower in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Located at the Town Center of Virginia Beach, a pedestrian-friendly mixed-use development that represents the city’s downtown core, the modern office is designed to foster collaboration and support STV’s growing team as they deliver critical infrastructure solutions for clients throughout the region.

STV has a long-standing presence in the Commonwealth and the new local office reinforces the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting clients across the Mid-Atlantic region. With a 40-year history in Virginia, STV works closely with state and local agencies to deliver infrastructure projects that improve mobility, connect communities and drive economic development.

“This new office reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in our people and delivering even greater service to our clients,” said Scott Lovell, PE, vice president and Virginia area manager at STV. “With upgraded workspaces, modern technology and a location at the heart of Hampton Roads, our team is better connected, more engaged and positioned to collaborate more effectively – both internally and with the communities we serve.”

Virginia Beach is the latest in a series of office moves tied to STV’s Strategic Plan to reimagine its operations and invest in a world-class employee experience. Since 2024, the firm has opened or expanded several offices in major cities including New York City, Dallas, Charlotte, Jacksonville and Raleigh. The new offices are designed around an Activity Based Working (ABW) model, offering a variety of flexible spaces tailored to different tasks. Outfitted with state-of-the-art technology, ample natural light and thoughtful design elements, these environments are built to inspire innovation, collaboration and well-being for employees, clients and partners.

STV maintains a strong footprint across the Mid-Atlantic region, with offices in Virginia Beach, Fairfax, Richmond and Washington, D.C., among others. The firm has partnered with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) on significant infrastructure initiatives, including the Hampton Roads Express Lanes Segment 4C project, where STV is designing three major bridges over the Hampton River, and the award-winning I-264 Witchduck Road Interchange and Ramp Extension. STV also works closely with Hampton Roads Transit on projects like the Southside Bus Facility and the Connecting Chesapeake Study, which explores high-capacity transit options for the growing City of Chesapeake. Additionally, the firm is supporting the City of Virginia Beach on the West Neck Creek Bridge Flood Protection project, which is part of The Ripple Effect – the city’s program to advance critical flood protection efforts in vulnerable areas.
