SAN FRANCISCO, CA – STV has been selected to provide project delivery services as a major subconsultant to the HCI/InnoActive joint venture for the renovation of the Superbay Hangar at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The airport’s only facility capable of accommodating four Aircraft Design Group V (ADG-V) aircraft simultaneously, the Superbay Hangar supports some of the largest aircraft operating at SFO. The project will extend the service life of a critical operational asset while supporting the airport’s long-term safety, sustainability and performance goals.
Originally built in 1969, the Superbay Hangar plays an important role in airport maintenance and operations, supporting day-to-day airfield activity and long-term operational readiness. Its unique size and capabilities make it one of SFO’s most strategically important facilities. Planned work includes modernization of building systems and infrastructure, energy-efficiency improvements and selective interior and exterior renovations designed to strengthen the facility’s long-term operational performance.

STV will provide project delivery services throughout design and construction as part of a progressive design-build team. The collaborative delivery approach brings owners, designers and builders together early in the process to improve coordination, manage risk and help accelerate project delivery.
