In support of the 2026 Days of Caring volunteer event, STV’s Wisconsin team partnered with United Way to support Bethany Apartments, a transitional housing community that provides safe, supportive housing for survivors of domestic abuse and their families.

Team members spent the day painting interior spaces, assembling shelving and storage units and completing other improvements throughout the property that help create a welcoming environment for the women, children and families who call Bethany Apartments home.

Bethany Apartments plays an important role in the Racine community, helping survivors and their families work toward stability and independence. Families can stay for up to two years, giving them time and resources to rebuild their lives.

“Having the opportunity to support Bethany Apartments was a meaningful way to give back to the community,” said Jillian Palmer, assistant project manager for STV’s program management and construction management (PM/CM) team. “By working alongside United Way and our fellow team members, we were able to contribute to improvements to help create a more welcoming space for residents. It was rewarding to support an organization that provides stability, safety and opportunity for women and families rebuilding their lives.”

Days of Caring is an annual event hosted by United Way Racine County that brings together community members and local businesses in Wisconsin to complete volunteer projects for United Way’s impact partners.
