Matthew Barkley, vice president and STV’s Arizona area manager, joined Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), the American Council of Engineering Companies of Arizona (ACEC Arizona), and local teaming partners for a volunteer event at Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff, AZ, last week.

At the University-hosted STEM gameday event, Barkley and his industry colleagues worked with more than 200 middle school students at the school’s stadium, where students moved from station to station to learn about different engineering specialties through hands-on engineering games.

“This powerful event was an opportunity to inspire future leaders, showing that anyone can become an engineer through passion and hard work,” Barkley said. “At STV, we’re proud to continue supporting STEM education to encourage young minds across various communities.”

NAU’s Center for STEM Teaching and Learning provides innovative research, high-impact partnerships, and community programs, including the annual game day event.
